Registering your work online is a simple process, just fill out the form and click send, that's all there is to it. To complete the registration and receive your English Copyright Certificate you will need to submit a hard copy of the work you wish to register, details of how to submit can be found on the submissions page
To complete the first step of a two part process: Firstly you must apply for membership which is totally free, when your account has been activated simply Login and fill in the members submission form completing all the fields to enable Songrite © to accurately index your work and prepare the copyright certificate. Please supply all the details and information required to successfully register your work.
How your Copyright application is processed
Songrite Copyright Office processes your application for registration of copyright upon receipt.
Copyright application files are recorded in an automated system and assigned a file number in the order that they are received.
Review of your application:
A reviewer checks each application to ensure that complete and clear information has been provided. If there are any questions or uncertainties, the reviewer may need to contact the applicant or their agent to request clarification of certain points or to provide additional information to process the application accurately.

Registration:
When an application is considered complete and the appropriate registration fee is received, a registration number is assigned to it. At this point a registration certificate is printed, a quality check performed, and it is mailed to the agent or applicant. Registration Certificates and Ten Year Contracts are sent to the agent or applicant by mail.
Songrite Copyright Office issues certificates of registration that provide a clear and legible record of registered works. You can help by making sure that the information in your application is complete, accurate, and legible, and that the work submitted is of an acceptable quality.
